@Michael Temple - I think the part about the water lines that irritates me the most is that the City of Toledo has had the money for years to repair those water lines and instead they decided to "reallocate" the money and continually push the projects off into the future.

Don't get me wrong, during this time frame I've sifted through 100+ wholesaler "deals" and EVERYTHING on the MLS during this time frame which is a good bit of work.It's of my opinion that there are too many toxic gurus pitching get-rich-quick real estate that takes advantage of sellers and buyers alike.

Not in the US with Corporate law, that's how we get things like 30 yrs of intentional dumping of wildly toxic waste ins ay, a pond, because the fines are cheaper than proper disposal.

I think it would cause them to much unnecessary problems and issues for them with the end not justifying the means.......I think they would much rather sell even at a loss and get these toxic assets off their books.Who knows though with the landscape changing so much anything is possible..regards,Chris

You do need to verify that the property has value is not somehow a junk lot (toxic waste, no access, unusable for building given an odd size, etc).Are you mostly looking to invest for the income?

Some of the higher prices included extras in the report including neighborhood and crime stats and reports of toxic waste in the neighborhood.. but I am already aware of that from the research I did selecting my area so I did not see the value.
