Also, you need to relax.  

We do put flooring under freestanding ranges or slide ins and refrigerators which all have adjustable legs.Jill:If you allow the loose-lay {fibre} floor to fully relax when first installed, it does not move that much afterwards (1/8 - 1/4") when expanding and contracting.If you are using Ikea cabinetry - or any similar rail-based installation - the cabinets are hung off rails on the wall and the weight on the adjustable legs will not restrict the floating floor from small movements.When using floating floor under these style cabinets, we run it wall-to-wall and run baseboard all the way around the room (sometimes we use cove behind the cabinets).

When I'm not home they drive cranes and lifts into my driveway, I've had to install security cameras and call the police (and to be clear, I'm not a grumpy problem-seeking person, I'm mostly relaxed and hey, let people do their thing).   

If they're providing relaxed penalties to renters, they should at least provide similar terms for apartment owners with our hard costs on taxes, insurance and utilities of these properties.

When this happens, rent starts getting paid late, and landlords start relaxing parts of their leases (like 1 car per unit in the driveway, no pets (no pets over 30 lbs), or no RVs/boats on the property, etc.).

So, 2 properties with equivalent lot areas, may not have similar useable lot areas, depending on how they are situated on their lot.As others' have said, maybe in some areas or locations, it adds to the privacy of the house, being further back on the lot, but I'm not convinced of that, since, in my experience, most people want the privacy in their backyard, when they are outside near their pool or relaxing, reading, etc.

The first thing is try to relax.

I've found a relaxed, sensitive, and aware personality seems to work well when talking to sellers of properties that I buy.  

Then you can kick back and enjoy all the time and relaxation that will afford you.
