I can think of a lot of funny responses to this statement but know this "it is the title company that decides if a property is insurable, no one else"Only they will tell you what you want to know if that particular quit claim deed is insurable.

Noone here can give you any legitimate response without knowing the answers to those three questions.If you paid 1.6 million and put down 25% and now owe 1.2 million and the duplex will be worth 2 million dollars when its complete, then you can easily get a hard money lender to lend you on the property. 

This system right away shows if the network blocked my typed response.

While on disability, section 8 adjusted his rent and he is responsible for $850 of the rent, with Section 8 covering $100.

Good to know, I will put these ideas at the forefront of my thoughts.We are going to take a look at it Monday, with my Uncle who is a GC, so I think I will get more accurate numbers after that and reassess things from a conservative point of view.Thank you for your responses.
