I currently own a non profit with a mission to break the cycle of abuse and sexual assault by healing those effected and providing education and advocacy.

I maybe even want to open a tenant advocacy / landlord education center and work with code enforcement and the city to make the areas better.

These are driven by (1) local owners not wanting to change character of the area, or deal with noise, parties, transients, etc, and (2) lower income advocacy groups afraid it decreases residents housing stock and increases local rents.

She is claiming that the house would uninhabitable but tenant advocacy required me to not move forward with certain work to prevent this.

They are a local advocacy group and they have real estate lawyers update the lease each year.

In all, this tells  me there is limited value-added customer experience to rely on a roof-stock certification inspection when u must go behind them inspect the property on your own advocacy. i also believe there was a lagtime from inspection to purchase.

This year they passed legislation requiring an addendum to the lease listing all the tenant advocacy groups and free legal aid organizations.

Stop stressing over things you can't control.It's really sad when most restrictions & laws are just a money grab, but they try to disguise it as consumer advocacy.
