The more comfortable you need to live, the worse the numbers will be. 

A lot of investors prefer to stay in the C class because that is where you get the best cash flow. 

It would be difficult for anyone to claim an STR is not residential with that definition.The difference between STR and MTR or LTR is the length of stay.  

Hell, my family came to town to visit and I bought furniture and they all stayed there before it was mine :-)

It specifically calls out stays of less than 7 days, though.
