@Michael ClantonThat definitely makes sense Michael.With butcher blocks we can get 8 ft x 36 inches for $250, after we treat it the price doesn't go up that much.It looks very sharp and high end and its extremely inexpensive.Granite is beautiful though, thanks for the help.

Finding out about the Sharpe ratio and studying true rates of return, true costs of mutual funds, etc. all helped in my decision.
