Changed the paint color in the master bath, it was a neon pink on the trim and changed the exterior color from peach to a medium grey which improved the appearance greatly.

Some areas in my state have historical societies that are run by power hungry people with nothing better to do than decide you cant paint your own house a certain color, use the windows you want or make any major changes to the exterior.

This might mean buying a structurally sound house, but with horrible paint colors, carpet, etc.

There are also neighbors in the complex who can check on things as well as HOA who will let me know about violations if they are happening vs. a sfh, I am in the dark unless I actually go by to inspect it.
