I hope to join a team/company that the broker helps me as my team leader does, but only with one layer of commission cut, not two layers.BTW, I am part-time.

Get all the parties on a conference call.I tried, and believe it or not, title company flat out refused to join a conference call with the accounting firm.  

Look into joining some of the SCREIA events and the weekly Wednesday morning breakfast in Canton.
