Lesley, There should be no problems with buying an REO that belongs to fredie mac or fannie mae.The problem you would encounter is if you tried to get a loan through freddie mac or fannie mae to BUY an REO.

This sounds trivial, but it is the only piece I have encountered so far that I cannot get any answer to!

In fact, an attorney is better geared for that in that they have real and legal fiduciary duty to you, an agent does not have the legal background to give such representation..Maybe I'm being cavalier about this, but I'm not sure you really even need an attorney to look at the addendum ... having read through and signed a bunch of these at this point, I haven't really encountered any clauses that I don't understand--the addendums are pretty straightforward and relatively similar from bank to bank (as well as long and boring to read).

Ahh, leaks from upstairs bathrooms - Here's some of the common causes I've encountered:* Supply side leak from the mixer valve - water would be coming down all the time.* drain overflow not properly sealed to tub* drain shoe not properly sealed to tub* leaking supply or drain pipes* Children splashing when they bathe.

After spending the past 37 years as a business owner, real estate investor and lender I can tell you they rarely do.The biggest problem I see most real estate investors encounter is always having access to enough money when they need to secure a project or complete a project.
