The idea would be to serve people anywhere that need help but don't want to engage a full-service, luxury designer when you need to save money on a reno or flip.

I suspect those players are going to keep the best notes for their fund as is their fiduciary responsibility to the fund and their clients.. and then off load the ones they deem inferior for what ever reason to those like you

Engage a realtor if needed.

They systematize there lending and if you don't fit the mold, you may get bad info.  3) shop around to get multiple opinions and options, 4) be aggressively engaged and don't accept the first second or third answers you're given and always always do your own research to fact check (google and BP can answer anything).   

Your way of being a part of this is to engage the way you choose to or not if you don't like what you see.I prefer @Paige Kelsey's candor and will take that over someone thinking they can dictate other's actions.
