If you want to pay for the premium price of living downtown and in that particular area - then sure, but as Bart mentioned... you're going to have a hard time cash flowing at all with that property.

There's the whole "cranes in the air, buyer beware" adage so would now even be a good time to house hack if downtown homes are going for a premium?

I'm also in the KC area and work downtown for an insurance broker licensed in all 50 states. 

It's on the water, has a thriving downtown that is trendy at time. 

Hello BP Members,I reside in San Gabriel Valley in california, about 15 minutes east of downtown LA.There is a good decent sized apartment complex not to far from where i live, i drive by there quite often, its on a corner lot right in the middle of EVERYTHING in a decent part of town!

I grew up in Escondido before moving to pacific beach, then downtown, now mission hills (where I’m about to add a third story to my house since I can’t bring myself to pay cash for a bigger house in this market)Not trying to bag too much on Poway but I think it’s not the best example of what SD has to offer 

It's further away from downtown Easton, but I believe it's also a better school district, which is a plus.

I grew up in Encinitas and as an adult have rented Downtown (Embarcadero area), Pacific Beach (Crown Point), and Ocean Beach.
