Would it be advisable to get a property inspection on a newly finished condo or apartment complex?

After reading a few books and listening to bigger pockets pod casts I know I may need to hire a property management company IF I go forward and purchase a 48 unit apartment complex that I have been talking to the owner about buying. 

My end goal is owning multiple complexes as an investor or partnership but I plan on starting small alone.

A student housing complex in Boulder, CO just got busted for turning 2-bedrooms into 4-bedrooms.

They have a new huge apartment complex that is supposed to have up to 1000 units when completed right off all American highway which is he main road into Bragg.  

A couple of questions...Do you mind telling me which complex your rentals are in?

It is a pretty complex arrangement and a bit commitment, but a legitimate way to fund a business with retirement capital.  

Are you expecting this to be a Multifamily complex?
