I'm just surprised that in the dozens of youtube videos I watched re installing LVP over a wooden subfloor (and the 3 contractors I consulted, and the many home improvement forums I sought advice on :-), no one really mentioned using a 1/4" (or better) plywood underlayment, but since I've brought up my issues here on BP I've seen many folks mention that they ALWAYS do that by default.

This was a surprise to me as even in California, with written notice, you are able to show units before vacancy.
