I was looking at one in Saratoga Springs to do that also, the city said that the city council needs to approve a duplex status, and it most likely it wouldn't be approved to switch it to a duplex.

Definitely call your local city council or leaders and make the case that many people have parents that are elderly; that need to be close by so that adult children can be their caregivers, etc.

@Kristin Vegas You may want to check with your local tenant council regarding what you can do as a resident tenant of the park since you pay lot rent (landlord/tenant relationship).
