I'm about to pull the trigger on a 3000 sq ft ranch style house, built in the late 80's. 

If you had your pick, would you buy a duplex/triplex/quad that is townhome style (side by side) or flat style (on top of each other)?  

I am open to all styles and layouts.Wholesales, Foreclousres, Rentals, etc I have financing in place and looking to have a property completed by Novemember 2018

The architectural style of the house makes it challenging to put gutters around the front roofline  due to some overhangs ( 2 on each side of the house that goes straight out in a rectangular shape like an inverted U shape but with sharp straight corners and there’s 1 middle overhang that’s like an inverted V shape that is also attached to the roofline and come straight out of the front so  rain water will come from those as the overhang covers a portion of the front and will kind of serve as an extension of the roofline.

@Kirby Logan to put it to you straight - you won’t find duplexes in the 150-200k range in North’s Dallas.I’ve closed on a duplex in Garland for 180k but that was a 1/1 shotgun style duplex.

My partner is also an agent and he has flipped one house successfully already, and has 5 duplexes buy and hold style currently.We recently bid on a house that was on auction.com and won it.

You will need to repair your credit, clear your bankruptcy and start saving every penny you can.......frugal life style going forward as your life situation improves is mandatory.

My brother and I have went through some classes and seminars which unfortunately does not fit my learning style.
