@Alison BrennerOne thing to confirm with the attorney after rereading this is to confirm if you get a lien waiver from your contractor then you are good and do not need sub and supplier liens.

If a contractor has worker's comp, if someone dies while doing a work, worker's comp covers it, it does not cover any damage on your property, the contractor bond protect you from workmanship defect and non-payment to subs/workers/suppliers, CGL protects you from damages.
