Savannah gets a lot of traffic for vacations, military, destination weddings, SCAD, travel nurses, etc.

Hello all,Name is Chad Wenzel just moved to the Akron area from Chicago so we can be closer to my wife's family.Have been reading up on investing in real estate for awhile and decided after the wedding and the move I would prepare myself on the journey of investing.I will be looking at investing in Akron and my hometown (Peoria,IL) My family is there and everyone of them is in some type of construction, where as I am the one with the business background.

We coordinate a monthly meeting in Brooklyn 2nd Weds of the Month and all the associates are based in Philadelphia for real estate sales, etc.

Augustine seems like a larger tourist destination and wedding destination.

Occasional Vegas trip, travel w/ friends, weddings & this and that.

We have nearly no home repair/renovation experience, but we've put a bunch of tools on our wedding registry and we love to learn! 

To add a little more detail, we currently don't have a reserve that we could use for a down payment on a new property, and it would take us about 1.5 yrs to really build that up considering that we are in the process of paying off CC's from our wedding.

@Andrew Merritt I think most of the folks visiting are there to see family, attend things like weddings and graduations, etc.

I have a wedding the day before but I think I am taking an early flight Oct 6 to make it to this awesome event!
