I know people who do this and I do not believe there are issues with it, but speak to an attorney and they should probably notify the company if they are an employee of that company that they are doing this.

You may also get at least 1/2 that want to justify a lower price...so they're working to get the price down, not justify the contracted price.

I think the most important thing to take away from this is conversation, is conversing.

I don't think that simply having an LLC would protect you from that Bubba the roofer.

Could I get an 80% LTV Cash-Out Refi ($520K), pay off the $37OK, and pocket the difference ($150K)?

I see the importance of having a team to help you out, but I don't understand the portion about paying back the loan, how much I should have before investing, if there are anything different if I will be investing from another country as a citizen etc.

This is only for an 1,800 sf. one story ranch, not like it's a furnished 5,000 sq property.
