hello BP world, my name is Comfort, i recently relocated to Atlanta about 6 months ago, besides the crazy humidity and horrible traffic situation here, i like it so far.. i joined BP just 2 months ago and i have been in the background just reading and digesting as much information as i could so this is my very first post :) .before i start i just want to give a shout out to each and everyone of you who often take time out of their very busy schedules to answer questions on here( that's what amazes me about BP) so kudos to you guys, i appreciate that!!

(Make sure you do not go cheap and undersize your ac unit, you'll regret it later in maintenance calls or complaints of it not cooling the house off enough when it's triple digits and 75% humidity) If you need any wiring done, check out Bybee Electric - they'll get it done quickly and efficiently.

High humidity probably exacerbates the problem.The mold these units spew have caused health problems for my family and pets.

Don't know if there's a crawlspace but you could look into a conditioned crawl space or vapor barrier as well - we have a lot of crawls here and a good vapor barrier has helped to dry out a lot of the subfloor and reduce humidity throughout the whole house.
