@Kris Haskins its just another version of the Nigerian prince scams.. run by those who tend to be foreigners.. you can tell by rusty English and unusual wording in sentences etc.

Immigrants have many reasons for coming to the US, and many reasons are valid, not at all a con, and they somehow need to get started.That being said, I have no particular experience with your situation, but I would do as much research as possible.Secondly, while Nigeria has a certain reputation (and many con-artists move operations now to neighboring countries because of that, by the way), not all are scammers, most Nigerians are honest people.
