I see two basic problems:First, as others have touched on, financial education is not something that is taught in schools, and therefore most kids probably never learn even the basics about money (since their parents probably don't know anything either).Second, most people tend to view money with a "scarcity" mentality -- that money is hard to come by and must be savored and treasured.

Cormac McCarthy is an author with a style like no other, I find myself reading sentences a few times in a row just to savor them.I don't think anything but a supergerm will create a doomsday in my lifetime but I do enjoy the fictional scenarios and the survivalism

lolMindset changes where the majority of days are expected and welcomed.I cherish the perfect days more as they do not happen often versus expecting it to be the norm.I can handle the rare really bad day better where everything known to man goes wrong.I relish and savor that my friends and family are happy and healthy and I am content doing what I want to in life.It's all about changing the filter you see the world through and your value system ( what you tend to place more currency on) as you age.
