Resurfacing Bathtubs
18 September 2019 | 18 replies
Tenants and owners need to know that abrasive cleaners can't be used, only soft scrub types, and that mats need to be lifted so as not to trap water against the reglazed surface. Some of the big complexes use this method, its a lot cheaper than replacing tubs, ceramic walls and countertops. We've used it primarly on properties that we're selling were there are out of date colors like pink tubs, green tubs, etc. typically from the 1950 to 1970.

Need creative ideas on seller financing

I appreciate your input. You’re right it did come across a little abrasive and that isn’t my main intention, so I apologize for that.I guess my main point was you acknowledge it’s not an investment (that’s good, we agree there) but then where we disagree is youre trying to apply investment financing (like seller financing with balloon payments) to something you just said isn’t an investment.Obviously you can do this if you want, but I think it’s a bad idea.

Reglaze or Replace Tub?
15 March 2015 | 20 replies
This isn't a big deal if you're already replacing the wall board and doing a new tile installation.I would avoid installing a fiberglass tub and surround in a rental because there's a pretty good chance that at some point a tenant will use an abrasive cleaner which will scratch and dull the surface making it look old and ratty pretty quickly and very prone to staining.
