In reality I think quickbooks is more designed for professional accountants and large companies but a lot of consumers have stumbled upon it and Intuit is like "well if they're going to pay for it we're not going to tell them it's way more cumbersome and expensive than they actually need and drive them somewhere else".

I was a IT guy, system analyst, programmer for many years, and some people can use an application intuitively, and the last guy I trained in QuickBooks require written steps on everything little thing he does, yes, every small step including even if he has to click "ok", and he says he needs to go through it dozens of times, else he screws up.

I'm curious about this also, I've been testing Stessa but it's not intuitive and I keep finding weird glitches that make it almost more work than just entering transactions manually.At some point I found it had automatically added a full security deposit return after a move-out, despite me not having manually entered it nor there being a bank transaction - so I contacted Customer Service and then forgot about it because I was testing other software.

I know this sounds a little counter intuitive but if they have high standards for what a property should be to be rentable it will save me a lot of money and headache on the back end with getting quality tenants and management.
