Hey David;At Joe Fairless' BP Meetup this past Tuesday, some of the guys from Hamilton mentioned that the Hamilton City Council is going to war with landlords, particularly with landlords who own property where police/fire are regularly dispatched.

As a licensed property manager I make the decision the owner and I agree upon...if they declare we aren't accepting money then we evict but I typically council that our goal is to collect 12 months of rent for the year and the efforts my company goes through to collect them is paid for by the tenant if they remain so let them fight the system as many times as needed in order to fall into line.

In 2017, the Irwindale City Council approved plans to demolish the racetrack to build a 700,000-square-foot outlet mall.But that plan was put on hold just months before a proposed demolition date and the track continued to operate.The city’s current plan still has to go through environmental impact reviews.The city anticipates that the report will address the “potentially significant impact” the demolition and development of the industrial space would have on the area’s air quality.On top of environmental issues, racers have long argued that closing the track would prompt some car enthusiasts to turn to illegal street racing.Nearly 8,000 people signed a petition opposing the track’s demolition in 2015, when it was first slated to be turned into a mall.LA VERNEIn June 2022, Brandywine Homes began construction on VerdanaII, a new moderate-income housing development in La Verne which will contain eight two-story, detached single-family homes.
