With only having one property it shouldn't be too much work. 

I own several in Alabama, including one in Bham.

For me, if I wasted even half a day trying to find one rather than buying this one it just would not have made sense. 

We were on a very quick timeline and were able to get one quote that didn't seem too bad, but we still were concerned about future resale value.

I would recommend talking to many lenders/brokers to see which one has the most experience funding these loan types.
