My name is Jen and i am currently stationed overseas.

One of the greatest stories I heard was a soldier who was going to retire at the age of 38 with 10 rental properties completely paid off by consistently buying houses where he was stationed and put them on 15 year mortgages. 

While I didn't appreciate this saying at the time, I found it to be extremely beneficial when I arrived at my first duty station.

For instance there is a gas station that I was looking at buying (but didn't) that was zoned ag but with a special use permit so maybe that is an option for whatever you want to do.

I feel like I have a Lamborghini right now, but it needs premium gas and there are no stations within 300 miles.

I’ve seen a huge increase in 30+ day rentals in my market (College Station, Tx.)

I think we can all agree that when we look at the true inflation rate at the grocery store and gas station we can come to the conclusion that someone may be lying about the official inflation rate.

I’ve been looking at other investments (hotels, service stations etc) but I believe this would be the most “passive”.

I'm currently a Pilot in the Navy stationed in Pensacola, FL, but I will have to move in a little over a year, so that introduces another obstacle that I will have to overcome especially considering that this is my first foray into self-storage.
