I'd like to find some sort of networking meeting in the area or just meet people to bounce ideas off of.

The first class postcards will bounce and save you a lot of money from mailing a bad address from subsequent batches and you can skip-trace the bad addresses for very valuable leads.

She made a check deposit on July 5 and I just found out today that the check bounced. 

You'd never seen them before in the room and here they were confidently throwing around money like magnates.So then they'd put in the winning bid and bounce up happily to pay their 10% and you KNEW you were watching a trainwreck happen right in front of you, and the five or six real players with their little leather pouches filled with banded stacks of hundreds just sat there and impassively watched the sheriff's sale break another wannabe.

In response to some:I do have a contractor coming through that I plan to bounce these ideas off of. 

The cheques they gave us has bounced on us 3 times.
