I too was took my time to watch a webnair just to be told the same thing that was found on youtube about the gator method.

A lot of plastered houses only have a 1x4 mounting boards behind the plaster, you always have to watch that when installing a pedestal sink in an older home's small bathroom.

Good news is there is one upcoming in March 8th and March 15th, might be worth sitting in and watching how all this works.
