Puzzled, we've tried to even ascertain if the name was male or female which could help in narrowing down family member.

As a female investor who has worked in nonprofits and community organizing for most of my adult life-- and hopes to start a brick & mortar business in this next project, I am doing my best to make sure that the moves that I make are working to revitalize the area in a way that is equitably beneficial for me and for all of the longer-term residents and business owners in this pocket.Other than volunteering and partnering up with local organizations, I wonder if anybody has any creative and viable solutions to effectively engage with and become a part of the community. 

For example, a female who is renting out a spare unit may be legally allowed to choose not to rent to men, since she is living in the unit. 

I spent hours looking over the MLS to find the suitable property for me (ie: manageable size for a single female and has two units) The moment I walked in the house I knew it was a perfect fit (which I would later learn is how I would buy all my following properties: Lots of behind the scenes research so that when I actually visited a property I would be able to make a decision right away if it was a property worth pursuing) How did you finance this deal?

I began real estate investing by buying 1 sfh in 2008.( I was a 52 year old divorced female)..It rented @$1200/m, so I bought another, it rents for $1200/m...I have continued this pattern, buying under market value houses with built in equity, and slowly, house by house, built my passive income, after tax ,ins, expenses,etc to 100k+...I set myself achievable, reasonable, stress free goals yearly!!

You don't have to say that's why, but for example if I'm a single female renting out my rooms I'm allowed to say females only whereas I can't do that if I was renting out an apartment.

Asian or Latin family typically surprised when coming to America and they see large house only has two people inside the house while the kid is struggling to rent somewhere else.Regarding HOA and Airbnb, it's obvious that a lot of hosts are renting out their place to a single guy for long period (say > 3 weeks);  if folks ask they said "oooh he's my friend" , and conversation stopped. 

Being a young-looking female that is rarely taken seriously on first glance, I always bring some sort of professional top outfit. 

Every time I walk into the courtyard and see all the Asian vegetables and the way they string everything up it makes me think I am in Vietnam.
