Most basements in Ohio are going to get some level of dampness, that's why sump pumps have been pretty standard for the last 20+ years.  

We lived in a trailer and I wore clothes that had holes in them.

Takes maintenance out of my hands, and tenant doesn't have to share with other tenants and worry about leaving clothes in there all day. 

The pro of duplexing up if you can is avoiding the potential cold, dampness and/or water intrusion in a garden unit.

If the floors are damp (which I doubt) you have to find out why and then stop the root cause.

You just need to bring you personal items, clothes and groceries; everything else is there.

@David StokleyI am not sure what Evolve did for their fee but the owner handled the check in and out and scheduling as well as moving a clothes dryer into the unit next door that he allowed me to use.

Hmm...It's difficult to believe they care about people becoming homeless because well, they are main cause of people becoming homeless.Meanwhile, the CDC told/is telling people to wear masks when they are fully aware that cloth and paper masks are not capable of stopping the virus particle.

Sometimes they leave furniture behind but you can typically tell if they've abandoned it because they'll leave crap furniture behind but take anything of value (flatscreen, computer, clothing, and T-bone steaks).

I've replaced a clothes dryer, fixed a Roku and showed a place to someone since sunrise today.
