Im thinking about installing solar panels on the roof.

Does anyone have any insight to offer on:-powering homes with solar, electric furnaces (we know they’re expensive though I can’t get anyone to actually give me a price), solar water heaters, and other measures to cut house emissions-pre-/post-buy checklists-systems for running rental businessesFinally, shout out to @scottinnocente for being a knowledgeable and educated investor-real estate agent and the Green Mortgage Team for moving our financing along.

Supply constraints are generally due to 1) lack of available land suitable for development and 2) regulation of development including typical building codes, zoning laws, HOAs etc. but up to the point of height restrictions, historical districts, banned materials, requiring solar, and even outright bans on development.If you look at where high rents often beget the desire for rent control, it's usually coastal cities (the ocean is a huge land constraint).

We are considering rezoning it to residential and building multifamily units, storage units, trailer park, or solar farm or... 

I plan on calling tmrw to find out.This person living there had spliced jumper cables into the panel and was clearly climbing the side of house to connect to the power lines!!!  

We were able to cover all of our closing costs, absorb the purchase of solar panels into the purchase price of the home, and get an extended rate lock with delays in construction.

I've also been using homasote panels under the flooring as an alternative to gypcrete/concrete as its lighter, less messy and easy to install.

We'll be using the sliding panels for all of the closet doors in the house...I like the smooth touch it adds against the softness of the curtains.
