I think our first investment and five more will be around multifamily properties, until my husband and I could actually quit our jobs and then, I could devote my time to only assisted living.

That last tidbit I will chime in with is you set your goal (that you want to start investing) now devote a portion of each day getting there.

Our partners however do the same thing from all manner of income as mentioned above.IF you can devote all your time and energy to learning the active real estate operator game you should definitely go for it. 

I will say, at least 30 minutes to an hour of the time I was there were devoted to selling a Big VIP experience to some workshop that the leaders were hosting.
