So, for the time being let's just say that if you are adding on to a dwelling or: doing electrical work with panels, adding plumbing, changing gas lines, etc. - Stick to pulling a permit or at least use a licensed and insured technician that will warranty his work.

The best one is in my opinion the wisdom panel..  

I believe there will be changes in the energy landscape (see Solar panels could destroy US utilities - according to US utilities) in the next few decades.

The walls however are all 70's wood paneling.

On the wall  section we have a 48" stove/oven with uppers and lowers on each side (lowers will be drawers) , then next to them there will be 30" column (refrigerator on one side and freezer on other) with matching panels.

Updates include newer plumbing in basement, roof 5 years, updated electrical panels, half of the windows are newer, some replacement blinds and paint to both units!

Solar panels, replace furnace, new thermostat.Now a cheeper way would be to reseal all windows and doors, and a new thermostat. 

My goal is 5 years.My husband works on roofs as a solar installer and hopes to get off the roof and away from the long hours eventually.

 Also i was wondering of anyone here in the forum has installed solar panes to their apartments and how do you manage thr electricity bill with the tenants.
