Habitat for Humanity is going to build about nine houses in the area, they have already have built one house in the area it is across the street from the one that I am think about getting.

I also just spoke to a friend and if I start doing volunteer work a Habitats' Re-Sell I will be able to purchase incredible bargains.[ I have never volunteered at their stores before but have volunteered with the actual refurbishing]my son and I are both autistic [ NO that is not his disability.

Unless you aim to be a slum lord and not maintain properties, provide safe habitat etc, there is really very little for a property owner to worry about.

There are also a couple of Goodwill/Habitat for Humanity outlets nearby.So I'll do the roof, the floors, the counter, the painting, the fence, and if I have money left for extras, maybe I'll put tumbled travertine on the fireplace surround.I guess I know the fireplace is the least of my worries, but sometimes it's comforting to focus on something you can control!
