Once you get to a "permanent" location (I put in quotes as no military assignment is permanent) you'll have more time to devote to real estate investing, and more financial acumen to make it happen.

I really had to look within myself and determine what I wanted, what time I could devote to education, and the time I had for the actual 'doing' of lead gen, MLS searching, client meetings, etc. 

Oregon even has a state division devoted to keeping track of mobile homes!

I'm a single dad and devoted father, been in the contracting business for 10+ years and have recently made the transition into REI.

I've been catching up on all the great content at BP and I'm devoting time everyday to learning and meeting up with people. 

My first few commissions will earn me the ability to cut a full day out of my week to devote to RE which will compound into me earning more time for RE. 

That would earn you 4-8 hours to devote to real estate. 

My nights and weekends have been almost entirely devoted to real estate over the past couple months as I am absorbing as much content as I can through BP, books, podcasts, etc. as well as taking classes online to earn my CA real estate license.I have to say I am a huge fan of the BRRRR strategy at the moment and would like to get into the buy and hold rental income investment arena...particularly with MFH investing.

@Derek Smith Try posting in Facebook groups in your area devoted to people looking for places to live. 

@Wendy Schultz - If I could devote more time either to the management or fixing a place up, I'm sure I could make the numbers work, but I suppose that what I'm really looking for is a cool place to vacation, not a new project.
