t=52 it says you won't be able to rent to your son and his family.In the bill it says "§ 214 (G) THE LANDLORD SEEKS IN GOOD FAITH TO RECOVER POSSESSION OF A HOUSING ACCOMMODATION LOCATED IN A BUILDING CONTAINING FEWER THAN TWELVE UNITS BECAUSE OF IMMEDIATE AND COMPELLING NECESSITY FOR HIS OR HER OWN PERSONAL USE AND OCCUPANCY AS HIS OR HER PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE, OR THE PERSONAL USE AND OCCUPANCY AS PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE OF HIS OR HER SPOUSE, PARENT, CHILD, STEPCHILD, FATHER-IN-LAW OR MOTHER-IN-LAW, WHEN NO OTHER SUITABLE HOUSING ACCOMMODATION IN SUCH BUILDING IS AVAILABLE.

Hello All,I am in the process of buying a Single Family home off market which has a mother in law suite with a separate entrance that allows us to rent the home as 2 units once purchase & rehab is done.

If this were myself and say my mother wanted to transfer a property into my name.

I have been managing my mother-in-law's building five unit building in a decent neighborhood in Chicago for 12 years and I live in that building until 2015 I bought the house as my family was growing and I wanted to get him out of Chicago give them a large backyard long story short I am able to afford paying a little more and finish my mortgage sooner in the meantime I have some about 60 or $70,000 equity already built in the house.

Now my 70 year old mother in law is fine going down there.

My mother and grandmother owned a home together. my grandmother passed away but she had no will does this make my mother the owner of the home or does she have to go through probate since there was no will.

My mother assures me that it is the only good area, but I would love to chat with you more about it. 

Prospective Tenant:She’s a single mother of two children who wants to move into the property as soon as possible due to schooling for her kids.
