And, it's NAR as well as the local realtor associations who place the emphasis on self-promotion and lead generation - rather than actually acquiring the knowledge of dirt.  

With too much emphasis on pay for a class and if you get 2 friends to go with you, you will get a check for half the class cost.I always advocate getting an education from where ever is possible and as long as they teach ethically as well.
