My mother and father have invested in single family long term rentals and I have learned a ton from this process, from having processes in place for every part of rentals to what to place value on when looking for potential tenants. 

He built it for his mother and sister to live in.

Has never been used as a rental before. owner built this property so that his mother can live on one side and her care giver live on the other. after she passed away the home has sat vacant for a year and a half other than when the remodel was conducted 

Also, any leads on good multi-families or houses with ADU/mother-in-law suites of course would be greatly appreciated.Lastly, if you are in the area and want to talk shop about everything Bigger Pockets, coffee is on me :)
