To be close to our happy hour friends on the Lake we picked up a 1bed, 1 small bath, 5x7 kitchen Lakehouse & totally gutted it, rebuilt & re-wired the entire inside but carefully maintained all the old 1inch pine & cedar planking.

And those that live in Oregon of course think we are Oregon everyone wants to be US:) I still Pine for the Napa Valley though that was the best place I ever lived.. spent 10 great years there.Bottom line for weather culture fun and many other reasons there is a reason 40 million plus people live in CA....

I can save money by: digging septic hole myself, paying my uncle who is an electrician for the electrical, I have all the flooring already (brick for the bedrooms and bathrooms/bluestone for the kitchen/pine for the living room), I'm also in the military so I get 10% off at Lowe's on all materials.

The second easiest is to go to any online source and pull up a list of houses on the market and do a reverse address search to get the number.I then call and say: "Hi, this is Doug, I'm calling about the house for sale on Pine St. am I speaking to the owner?"
