I'm dealing with three challenges: 1) roach residue in the kitchen cabinets 2) floor under the carpet is kinda gross 3) still not the best smell in the unitI contacted a company about what they would do and they wanted $150 for just an inspection and estimated treating the place (cleaning all surfaces, ozone machine, etc.) would cost thousands.

Would remove the canopy, add a natural stone surface over existing concrete, add a cedar arbor or patio covering (something simple as shown below), add shutters, add landscaping.

I don't personally have experience but reviews on the interweb and speaking with a co-worker who used them make it sound like its a durable/cost effective solution to extend the life of those surfaces.
