I am looking for opinions about investing in Orlando?

I am still interested in doing short-term rentals in Orlando especially as there will be a new theme park in 2023.

I'm considering the Orlando, FL area right now but still haven't done enough research on the area to know the tax specifics.  

I have been looking for places to live, and am open to purchasing outright (so if anyone has anything nearby or in Orlando that they're trying to sell, or knows someone who does, please don't hesitate to reach out), and also renting, for the right opportunity.Regarding renting, I am open to renting for a discounted rate in return for providing property management services.

Major metros like Dallas, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Charlotte and Ralieigh have grown that secondary markets like Chattanooga, Greensboro, Winston Salem, Huntsville, Birmingham have provided investment opportunities as well.

Currently transitioning out of active duty military and looking for a partner in central Florida, more specifically Orlando area.

I know they were interested in some new builds we are doing in the Orlando area. there is only a handful of markets were new builds make sense for rentals .. in other markets land and permits are too high to make anything but MF construction non viable.   

I would like to know how to buy a home that I can realistically afford, ideally in Central Florida – either Volusia County (North of Orlando) or Pasco County (North of Tampa).

But i'm looking at Kansas City, Cleveland, Orlando, and some small neighborhoods around Miami.

I don't know the Orlando market so I won't comment on that one.
