I hope you verified their license and insurance, added yourself as "additional insured" on their policy, checked zoning, and are prepared for additional wear-and-tear.I personally don't allow it anymore because it always turned out bad.

One thing we have noted as troublesome for some potential househackers with this conventional program is that in order to use rental income from the other units towards qualifying you need to have some current housing expense verified (rent, a mortgage, etc.)

If you want to "rig" something up from outside your windows and all then... again you'll have to verify what your housing owners allow or not (just like a satelite dish).
