We have family N Chicagoland and have looked at Milwaulkee, Hammond, Merriville, and South Bend. 

I asked the seller would he be willing to bend on the price based on the other issues found in the inspection but he says he has a back up offer over what I offered in writing and 4 other people waiting to make offers.

It could be little stuff like they are high maintenance and complain about everything, it could be that they are a little messy/dirty, it could be they try to bend the rules, it could be that they do not get along with the neighbors, etc.
