I am currently a Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Paraguay, South America, working on Agricultural/Environmental/Health projects in my assigned rural community. 

Should I be worried there will be a conflict of interest and choose my own and spend the money to have a peace of mind?

I figured take the month and make sure she’s in a safe environment and then see what happens. $100/month is what I was thinking as well.

You must make an appointment with a sheriff's deputy to supervise keeping the peace while your people move the belongings out on the curb.

I do think that it is a good deal in the current environment, especially considering that the property is close to a university where enrollment is growing at double digits.

At the end of the day though, I'd rather pay a bit more and have the peace of mind of knowing that I'm not being scammed.

Too many people on here are full of hot air about "retiring" and think that buying homes in 4-5% interest rate environments, with unemployment at sub 4%, no recession and no market pull backs is going to last forever.

I am originally from NYC but moved down here in January of 2010 to raise my son in a different environment with more opportunities.

I’ve heard opinions from both sides, but wouldn’t mind additional feedback in light of current increasing interest rate environment.
