Electrical equipment does not get better with age like women and wine, in fact it becomes more dangerous from years of expansion/contracting (electrical fatigue) as well as handling larger loads than it was designed for, making it more likely to fail and cause a fire as time goes on.

What else has the warranty paid for a new garage door, a new wine refrigerator (most will pay for 3 refrigerators in a house), a new induction cooktop ($1500), two microwaves and several dishwashers. 

Nicolas is correct, have your lender run an estimated cost sheet for any financing scenario you're considering.
