Hi,I wanted to see if anyone has placed solar pv on rental properties?

Notice the name doesn’t say anything about painting – they’re a handyman service.The house they were working on is a 70s model house that was owned by a smoker and has paneling throughout.

I have put an offer in on a multi here in MA and my question is: I own a thriving solar company and although it is coming to the end of the year tax wise, is it smart to purchase the property (all cash) with the company's checkbook (Can the company write that off?)

I like what Solar City has done by leasing solar panels or doing Power Purchasing Agreements (PPA) and in effect becoming a utility company. 

I had one inspector require a electric panel replacement.

All the walls are wood paneling.

There is a meeting tomorrow with the Outback group and it will have three wholesalers on the panel.

So I too am wondering about materials cause on a rental unit I had to have a new electrical service put in...the contractor was wanting to charge me $1000 for a 200 amp service panel $50 per complete can light etc.

MDO panels with strips for Board and Batten look up top, cedar shingles below on sides and back .... and clapboard below on front. (3) exterior colors. (1- top board and batten, 2- bottom shingles and clapboard, 3- trim)No scraping, but needs caulking, hole filling, etc.

Further, should the current tenant (a single guy who doesn't mind paneling, worn carpet, old cabinets etc) move out, it would need considerable upgrades.
