So I too am wondering about materials cause on a rental unit I had to have a new electrical service put in...the contractor was wanting to charge me $1000 for a 200 amp service panel $50 per complete can light etc.

MDO panels with strips for Board and Batten look up top, cedar shingles below on sides and back .... and clapboard below on front. (3) exterior colors. (1- top board and batten, 2- bottom shingles and clapboard, 3- trim)No scraping, but needs caulking, hole filling, etc.

Further, should the current tenant (a single guy who doesn't mind paneling, worn carpet, old cabinets etc) move out, it would need considerable upgrades.
