I do have a question, i work a 9-5 and since i have no kids or an spouse, uncle sam takes a huge cut out of my paycheck each month (2K).

@Sam ArakA 203k is way too much hassle for what sounds like a few to several grand in Sheetrock and drywall.

You'd rather make $0 and give none of that to Uncle Sam. 

I'd have to agree with Sam, house hacking is great, but also starting out with a rental that you'd live in is ideal.
