Hi @Andres Piedra :In North Carolina, cost for filing an eviction is $126 for one person + $30 per each additional person.Once in court, you will be awarded possession of the property as well as any monies you requested at the time you filed (i.e., rent + late fees + court costs).

This young lady was late to her Eviction Court Date this morning, in turn missed her hearing, the landlord was awarded immediate possession and filed the additional paperwork needed to move forward with the eviction via Sherriff.

The tenant has legal possession of the property until they have either given proper notice and moved or until the eviction process is complete and we have been awarded legal possession by the courts.For us, no, we would not enter or start any repairs on the property even if the tenant has moved on.

It is just a bit more of paperwork using the same form (CIV-100) to request a court judgement awarding you damages.. . . then comes the process of collecting!
