While the market can go up or down in either investment, Real Estate is the only one of the two that offers income opportunities through rental income, that stocks don't, and can often help ride out the storm of market fluxes.Also, the Greater Phoenix market (that includes Scottsdale) historically nets 65K+ Californians per year.

The contractor that we have been working with for a while came to take a look at the walls with the structural engineers, and they told us we have to change the structure of the entire kitchen wall.

From what I have heard, primarily through these forums, it can be tough to do just about anything yourself. 

But about 1 year after we bought the property, they started cracking down on the homeless in downtown Jacksonville moving the crime to the neighborhoods just outside of Jacksonville.
