If not, be careful since in most cases, no liens are wiped out from a HOA foreclosure, unless the HOA lien was placed before the HELOC lien, and the HOA names that 2nd/junior lien holder in the foreclosure action.As per the balance on the HELOC, you could try contacting the attorney acting on the foreclosure file to see if they can give you the balance.

@James Peterson I've been in this business neatly 40 years and never heard anyone using 'FTD'for 1st TD.No harm, just confusing.Absent a super-priority judgment occuring as the result of a buyer somehow buying a property subject to an existing AJ (abstract) with purchase money in junior position, your 1st TD remains.

In the event if a default, the second could pay off the first or work with the first lien holder to prevent getting wiped out in a trustee sale.Most things related to lending are State specific but in Michigan the first lien holder has no obligation to notify junior lien holders of any defaults or foreclosure actions.

While a NPN wouldn't be included the initial LTV as well as an estimated CLTV can be important when speaking of junior positions on any OO, SFD, it should be readable for everyone.:)
